Once upon a time, Marjorie was not part of the world of Stardew Valley at all. She was an ordinary character from an average webcomic, apped at a game called Leech Life, a Bloodborne inspired RP. She was there for four years, until the game closed.

Now, this game was hell. Lots of monsters, unsightly ghouls, friends dying left and right and coming back to life again— it was too much for her to bear, but she had to bear it. Instead of being worn down by the setting, her optimism was the only thing that kept her (and her friends) together. Despite the happy ending of the game, Marjorie nearly went home forgetting all the friends she had forged bonds with who had kept her alive and steady through the years.

Then she arrived in Stardew Valley, with a farm to tend all of her own. It was a culture shock of going from a horrible place to a happy, fun place where all she could do was farm! But she had lost all her friends…

Her game having left her unsatisfied with answers, she began to dig deep, both in the soil and in the lore. After drinking several dozen potions from the Wizard’s Tower, mining her way through the ground and turning up every rock in the forest, she became aware that there were Gods of the valley. And after a summoning spell she just happened to remember from the RP…

… she made a wish, and they appeared before her!

Her wish was for Stardew Valley to become her personal home for wayward souls like her. People who came from “Games”, as the gods called them, or people who merely sought new life and a new journey. Seeing that the Valley was quiet and small, the gods granted all their power to this wish. Now they only exist as humans, with offerings being the only thing that will power them back to godhood. In exchange, only Marjorie knows where they’re recovering, and acts as a facilitator and middle man for this place and its newcomers.

She took her enormous amount of money earned and paid the Mayor all of it for the new property that had suddenly cleared out everywhere. She also petitioned to rename the valley Starhue Valley— ‘Where everyone can come from all colors of the night sky’. With this, her plan was in place. She would save her friends! She would save new people!

… or not. None of her friends wanted to come to Starhue Valley. They were happy at home, which had needed them sorely. Dejected, Marjorie decided to keep running her project. For the sake of people who still wanted somewhere to call home!

Marjorie is the hardest character in the game to date!
